FIRKIN Gin has won three silver awards at the 2018 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC). Now in its 49th year, the competition aims to award excellence in wines and spirits worldwide, encouraging recognition for quality products.
FIRKIN Rosie, a summer-themed gin made with strawberries, rose petals and sweet almond, collects its second note of recognition within two months of launching. The gin has also been nominated for a Scottish Gin award.
Multi award-winning Original FIRKIN Gin adds a silver IWSC medal to its honours list, which already boasts World Gin awards, Scottish Gin awards and a London Spirits Competition medal.
Try Me… Naked, FIRKIN Gin’s London dry gin, picked up an IWSC award for the second year running, after collecting the IWSC Silver Outstanding last year.
Derek Mair, founder of FIRKIN Gin, was honoured to have three of the FIRKIN family recognised by such a prestigious competition: “The International Wine & Spirits Competition is one of the oldest and most recognisable awards in the industry, so to have three products recognised is an incredible achievement for the FIRKIN Gin team.”
The IWSC receives entrants, sponsors and supporters from over 90 countries each year.
