Originally built in the 16th Century, Brodie Castle is one of the many historical buildings throughout the country owned by the National Trust for Scotland (NTS). The castle is surrounded by acres of Moray countryside and offers woodland walks and nature trails for consumers to explore alongside the main building. With plans in place to renovate the tearoom and build a new playful garden, Brodie Castle promises to be a great family day out with something for everyone.

For the last five months, Rubber Lips PR has provided social media management for Brodie Castle. Rubber Lips successfully created and implemented a social media strategy for Brodie Castle which utilises Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Trip Advisor to gain the venue maximum exposure online whilst actively participating in consumer engagement. Rubber Lips moved away from 9-5, working evenings and weekends to take advantage of peak times online. The new strategy has proven to be highly successful, with likes on Facebook growing by over 25% and Instagram followers increasing by 50% in recent months.

As Brodie Castle is part of NTS, Rubber Lips PR work closely with the NTS marketing team to ensure content is consistent with their strict brand guidelines. Industry and local research allowed Rubber Lips PR to develop a complete understanding of the requirements of Brodie Castle and collaboration with other NTS properties in the Highlands aided in social media growth through the creation of #NTSHighlands.

Over the last few months, Rubber Lips PR has developed a successful working relationship with NTS which continues to produce positive results for Brodie Castle and led to Rubber Lips PR being asked to extend their coverage of NTS properties.
