In a world full of Instagram and snapchat filters, we’re so used to hiding behind our perfect airbrushed selves; that is until you find yourself in a real-life situation.

Its daunting starting something new, whether that’s a new fitness class, being new to the dating scene or in my case, starting a new job. More specifically this job. This is my first new job in over 5 years, it’s been so long that I forgot what it’s like to be the new guy, the person everyone looks at as soon as you walk in the room, even the fear of being asked something you don’t know the answer to. But here I am, embracing my unfiltered self, just being me without the dog’s ears to hide behind… not that I’m a fan of the dogs ears, the flower one’s my favourite. Not.

So what’s this new job I hear you ask me? Well in all honesty, I’m just starting to work that out, it’s my second week here and admittedly it’s all a little overwhelming but in an exciting way! I’m currently managing client’s social media pages, so when your scrolling past posts on Facebook remember there’s just an average every day guy like myself behind the posts.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Media Production from the University of Lincoln, I moved back up to the North East to work for Smooth Radio. While working to the smooth songs of yesteryear, I manged many multi-platform campaigns for clients. From big time music venues to water companies, from on-air commercials to online competitions, So hopefully this will have me in good stead for this new position.… and I know what you’re thinking, but no, I never made it on-air.

So in a nutshell this is me basically saying hello, ola, bonjour. I hope you all wish me luck and I’m sure I’ll be in touch soon to let you know how I’m getting on.
